Overtime is frequent, and it is taken for granted that there is no overtime pay. The design team is treated as inferior, and everything is dictated by the sales team; even when a client’s demands are unreasonable, the design must still be changed. Although the sales staff have never studied design, they keep telling the designers to adjust this and that. Otherwise, they explain things unclearly, making it impossible to understand what the client actually wants. Projects often come in today and are due tomorrow, so everyone works overtime every day. The Monday meetings are very depressing because the boss constantly yells at people. We also have to clean on Fridays; even though there is already too much work to finish, we have to clean the restrooms, and if they are not clean enough, we get yelled at. When business performance is good, the sales staff receive performance bonuses, but everyone else gets nothing.
