The only advantage is probably that you don’t have to work shifts on holidays.
And since working on national holidays requires paying higher wages, they probably don’t want that either.
The interview was scheduled for around 2:30. I rang the doorbell, but because it was on a major road, I could barely hear what was being said through the intercom. Eventually, I heard “please wait a moment,” but I didn’t know where I was supposed to wait. I went up to the second floor and stood there cluelessly for nearly 25 minutes. No one came to find me or show me where to go, and I still didn’t know where to go. An employee passing by said, “Oh~ Interviews are on the third floor~”
After waiting that long without seeing anyone, shouldn’t someone have come to find me on the third floor?????
I applied for a part-time inventory-handling position, and the owner’s wife described two scheduling options.
The first was a flexible scheduling system where they call you in whenever they feel they need you that day. If they don’t need you, they simply tell you not to come in, so the schedule is not fixed.
The second was scheduling according to government regulations: you choose your work dates, and if there are any changes, the company must notify you three to five days in advance. But what they wanted was the first option—they only want you to come in when they need you that day!! They seem to find notifying employees too troublesome and don’t like doing it.
I applied for a position involving inventory handling and scheduling, but the actual job duties were online customer service~
