It feels like there are hardly any advantages.
The HR department showed very little respect for the interviewee.
The interview was originally scheduled for 1:00 p.m., but the HR assistant did not come out until 1:10 p.m. I was taken to an exhibition room,
where they first collected my personal information and photo, then said I had to take a personality test.
The personality test only had 10 questions and could be completed in less than five minutes.
After 30 minutes had passed, at 1:45 p.m., they came in to ask whether I had finished answering the questions.
After that, they said I also had to take an EXCEL functions test (at that point, I was already quite unhappy).
Why not provide both tests at once?
It only had two questions, but by then I was no longer willing to fill it out.
Another 15 minutes passed before the HR assistant came in again to ask whether I had finished.
The test itself took less than 20 minutes to complete.
The HR assistant kept coming in and going out, while I waited for the HR manager to conduct the interview. It was already 2:30 p.m.
As soon as the HR manager came in, they said, “You’re very unfamiliar with EXCEL functions.”
After asking some irrelevant questions, it was already 3:00 p.m.
Then the HR assistant came in again and said that the finance and accounting manager was in a meeting, and gave me a quarterly publication to pass the time.
Five minutes later, I left with my head held high,
because, in my view, the company showed absolutely no respect for interviewees.
