A boss should lead with empathy. The company already doesn’t pay overtime, and the compensatory leave system is designed to be practically the same as having no time off at all. At the very least, when asking people to help with something, please add a few “please,” “thank you,” and “sorry” rather than acting as though everyone is there for you to mistreat as you please.
