Pros

The work environment is flexible. If you work overtime in the evening, you can come in late the next day and make up the time off through the online system. There are also travel allowances for business trips, an overseas company trip every year, and after working for three months, you can apply for funding to purchase a laptop. Overall, the benefits aren’t bad—everything that should be provided is provided. It’s actually quite good!

Cons

Overall, I feel there are quite a few cliques, making it difficult for new employees to fit in. People also don’t tend to take the initiative to help newcomers. When I first started working there, there was a woman sitting nearby who was about to take maternity leave. She often jiggled her leg and chewed gum at work, and had terrible posture. Yes, I’m talking about you. You were extremely disdainful of me. Every time my supervisor asked me to get information from you, you acted as if you wanted to give it to me but didn’t! I was new, so I put up with you, thinking you were too busy, and even proactively asked whether you wanted me to buy you a boxed lunch. But you never gave me any money, and when I asked you for it, you still looked so annoyed!! What did I ever do to you?!

Hahaha, I seem to have accidentally shared something too personal.

Let me put it this way: I actually think working at Uni-President Data Network is pretty good, but it’s not easy for newcomers to enter this environment. There’s a difficult adjustment period. In my more than ten years of working, this is one of the companies where I’ve encountered some of the coldest treatment of new employees by colleagues. However, I have to say that my supervisor at the time was very kind and someone worth learning from, so that made it somewhat easier to adjust.
