After submitting my résumé, the company called to ask a few basic questions, mainly about my height and weight, emphasizing that they require a certain body type. Setting aside how a brief phone inquiry can accurately determine the so-called ideal body type (BMI? Muscle-to-fat ratio?), even taking a step back, shouldn’t the standards for the body type your company requires be stated directly in the job posting so that applicants’ time isn’t wasted?
