It’s fairly easygoing. You write a questionnaire of about 10 questions, and they ask whether you want to do it in English or Chinese. You may answer in English; there are no standard answers, but you need to provide reasons. Then there is an Excel summation exercise, a casual conversation with the manager during the interview, and so on. Finally, the engineer tests your computer-aided drawing skills and asks a few questions about mechanical fits. For a master’s graduate, the salary can reach around NT$44,000 after one year, with a starting salary of NT$38,000. They say there is almost no overtime, and there is a high chance of business trips to Europe. Your English needs to be good.
They ask whether, if you are hired, you can provide the phone number of your current company supervisor. They will ask HR to call your former supervisor to inquire about you. I don’t know whether this is just meant to intimidate you or whether they really do it.
