The relationships between colleagues are almost all very good.
It is a family business where they contradict themselves all day, make grandiose claims, and talk nonsense to everyone. They never reflect on themselves; no matter what goes wrong, it is always the employees’ fault. The rules they set themselves are never followed. If something does not suit them, they make things difficult in every possible way. They use a pile of allowances to suppress employees’ salaries. Even though the café is not making money, they deduct employees’ meal subsidies to pressure them into eating there. Taking annual leave deducts NT$4,000 from employees’ perfect-attendance bonus. During lunch breaks, they do not care whether employees are resting, and they let their family’s dog bark incessantly, bite people, urinate everywhere, and make noise—then say how smart and wonderful it is without ever training it. They pressure employees to sacrifice holidays or time after work to participate in religious or personal activities. All kinds of behavior that completely violates the Labor Standards Act happen here. Oh, and this place absolutely does not follow the rules, so do not count on being lucky.
