The environment looks very good; it has the vibrant feel of a design company.

1. The interview was very time-consuming because the owner asked many personal questions (who is in my family, each person’s occupation, whether they are retired, my partner’s job responsibilities, etc.).

2. During the interview, the owner brought in a colleague to discuss the job duties together (which was essentially part of the interview). From the conversation, I learned that working overtime until 8:00 p.m. is the norm.

3. After the interview, the owner said that a job offer notification would be sent. By noon the following day, I still had not received it, so I called to ask about it. However, the HR representative said she did not know and that the owner was not there, so there was no way to find out. It was not until after 7:00 p.m. that the offer notification was sent, confirming that overtime really is the norm. Overall, I felt that job applicants were not taken very seriously.

4. After seeing comments from previous applicants, I decided not to take the job.
