This post was submitted by a user and reflects their personal experience or opinion. The publication date is not an employment or interview date.
The interview email was written to make the company seem very well-established, and it particularly emphasized that it would not steal interviewees’ ideas, which was chilling.
The company’s English name is Orangenose Studio.
At the time, after I had posted my résumé publicly, the company proactively contacted me by email to invite me to an interview. After I submitted a draft, they asked me to design a UI for free. Basically, it used the same gameplay as other games that had already been released, with only the interface redesigned. (Just to give everyone an idea: trial assignments generally require a fee.)
After seeing many people online say that the company would take interviewees’ ideas, I still approached it with mixed feelings and gave myself a chance to try. After I submitted the work, I heard nothing further.
Some time later, the game newly released by this company was the same game UI they had asked us to design during the interview. As for how this behavior should be defined, I will say no more.
