Standard two-day weekend (except in special circumstances); they generally don’t like having everyone work overtime.
Colleagues get along very well (although the relationship between supervisors and employees is poor).
Flexible working hours, plus cookies, instant noodles (← the supervisor in question consumes these two items especially quickly), and drinks.
Very suitable for people seeking stability (basically, an easy paycheck).
Convenient transportation near the company.
1. Labor and health insurance enrollment is always processed late.
2. Salaries are always paid late (and employees have to repeatedly remind them); they say it is all the shareholders’ fault.
3. Supervisors’ work efficiency is always extremely low (even when something is finished early, it may still not be given to the client two or three weeks later).
4. Supervisors often act two-faced (using slick rhetoric).
5. There are more supervisors than employees (you could say the ratio is 1:1).
6. No holiday bonuses or gifts for the three major festivals; most benefits exist only for reference (if the company makes no money, where would the benefits come from?).
7. Supervisors never respect professional expertise (in the art-related department).
8. They do not trust employees (secretly install monitoring software without employees’ consent).
9. There are often endless forms to fill out (even after you fill them out, they will not look at them) and endless meetings.
10. Equipment and facilities are unusable (they really like buying cheap Taobao goods).
11. Salaries are remitted from another company, which can cause problems when applying for a credit card (the boss owns two companies, one of which is a shell company).
12. It feels like a large company, but it is actually a small one; excluding supervisors, only five employees remain.
13. The boss does not spend money where it matters (for example, they will not replace unusable equipment, but will buy telephones—one for every desk—or standardized trash cans, etc.).
14. They often use personal favors as leverage (front-line employees are always stuck in a dead end).
15. Problems with the company are frequently brought up, but there is never a solution; we are instead expected to be understanding.
16. They often toss out remarks like: “Are you done? Just make it simple.” (How simple is it supposed to be?)
17. “Aiya~ I’m speechless!” (An in-joke known by the company’s employees.)
18. The company’s reputation in the industry is terrible, making it difficult to get projects (a similar company gets more projects and even made sarcastic comments about them).
19. Among internal entry-level employees, the longest tenure is no more than one year (recently, it may be changing to one or two months).
20. There is an OO with poor emotional control who often makes shocking remarks (very poor EQ).
21. There was also a web drama that stopped halfway through production (very short-sighted); the production budget per episode was guaranteed to be frighteningly low.
22. They often badmouth former employees.
23. Policies are frequently changed (as are the forms).
24. Employees are all required to wear multiple hats (the company has no dedicated accountant).
25. The company has moved locations several times and often secretly changes the office layout.
26. Employees are always expected to clean up the mess (a pile of crappy tasks).
27. The salary offered does not match the duties listed in the job posting.
28. It is a small company, yet even transferring between teams requires filling out a form.
29. There are often strange policies (for example, no headphones at work because you might not hear the phone or doorbell?).
30. They say they want to be a startup and change the company, but their policies often rely on old-fashioned practices.
Conclusion:
Interviews usually last around 2–3 hours, so use the restroom before going in (most of the time is just casual conversation). If your abilities are acceptable, you will basically be hired on the spot.
That is my personal experience! I cannot see a future at this company, so all job seekers should think carefully.
