A 10 NTD deduction for being 1 minute late

I was told I got the job on the day of the interview, but the start date kept changing. I was always the one initiating inquiries. After asking again today, I learned that because the previous accountant is currently unemployed, they will make the previous accountant their primary candidate (during the interview, they said the previous accountant was unemployed and that they would ask them to come back for the handover). I’m furious—then they should have been honest instead of repeatedly saying that the previous accountant had something come up and suddenly couldn’t do the handover. Does everyone not need to work? After I filed a complaint with 104, they sent me a rejection notice, which made me even angrier. What is this supposed to mean? They were clearly the ones in the wrong, so why send me this letter? This is the first time I’ve encountered a company like this during a job interview. I have now closed the job listing. If it is reopened and a similar situation occurs, please be careful. Don’t make the same mistake I did and foolishly waste time waiting, only to end up with no income while still having to pay National Pension and National Health Insurance premiums.
