1. The boss is hot-tempered and extremely fond of yelling profanities at employees. He often displays a contemptuous attitude and is extremely disrespectful to people (while claiming that he is simply more “grassroots”). He likes to smoke while holding meetings, even though the meeting room is just a small, enclosed space. He likes to play symphonies or operas at work, so when something needs to be discussed with colleagues, you have to stand very close just to hear each other—and then get scolded for chatting at work. You have to report when leaving work, and every time you leave on time, you get mocked. When he is in a bad mood (which happens extremely frequently), he will pick on you and start criticizing everything. I personally never received overtime pay; it seemed to be treated as though it were simply expected. I have never seen a boss with such poor emotional management. We were also expected to go to Google and similar sites to post positive reviews for the company as customers. By that point, I had absolutely no goodwill toward the company and found it extremely painful.
2. The company’s database is disorganized, and the turnover rate is frighteningly high. From the time I joined until I resigned, the entire staff had been replaced. The colleague in my department had joined only a few weeks before me (and also left before me). No one trained us at all; we could only rely on the paper handover documents left by former employees. Sometimes we even had to call former employees to ask where files were located (they might already have been working at a new company and sometimes could not answer the phone), which delayed our work. On top of that, we had to deal with the boss’s moods and reprimands… It was extremely difficult to get anything done or work with anyone. In the end, I only stayed for a month before escaping. The day after I resigned, I felt that life had suddenly opened up, lol.
