From Tuesday to Friday, 9:00–9:30 is flexible working time. If you clock in at 9:00, you finish work at 18:00; if you clock in at 9:30, you finish at 18:30. Usually, it is not possible to leave work on time. On Monday mornings, there is a regular meeting, so there is no flexible working time and work starts at 9:00.
Being one minute late results in a deduction equivalent to one hour. There is no overtime pay, and overtime of less than 24:00 cannot be exchanged for compensatory leave; you still have to start work on time the next day. If overtime extends past 24:00, you can take half a day of compensatory leave the next day.
If holiday overtime is less than eight hours, you cannot take compensatory leave, and of course there is no overtime pay. You must work more than eight hours to take one full day of compensatory leave.
If you go out to eat during the lunch break and exceed the allotted time, the second boss will ask you to fill out a leave request form.
There are no employee trips, but the second boss really likes sending travel promotion emails to the entire company. What is that supposed to mean?
The second boss’s responses to employees’ questions can be summarized in two points:
1. Because you are not working constantly like factory workers, compensatory leave cannot be provided on a one-to-one basis.
2. People should be more magnanimous; don’t be so calculating.
