You can meet the CEO directly during the interview
This was the first company where I felt uncomfortable throughout the entire interview, from beginning to end.
When I arrived, the HR representative neither introduced herself nor explained the interview process. She gave me a form and told me to fill it out and wait. The important questions on the form had already been answered on my résumé, yet she asked them again.
I waited half an hour before the interviewer arrived, and there was no air conditioning. The supervisor first spent a long time explaining the relationships involving the affiliated companies. However, when I asked, “What is the next goal after these projects are developed?” she began to evade the question.
After learning about Daqi’s previous failure in the printing industry, together with the entire interview process, I felt that this was simply a group of old-timers stubbornly carrying things out without regard for other people’s opinions.
At the end of the interview, I raised my concerns about the industry. The supervisor essentially said, “Why don’t you go home and look it up yourself?” The interview then ended immediately. She did not even shake my hand or offer a parting acknowledgment; she simply walked back without looking at me.
This is a ten-person startup that receives government subsidies and has investors. It does not even have a website; I only felt that she seemed to think having a Facebook page was enough.
This experience really opened my eyes. Thank you for the interview opportunity.
