The environment is pretty good
It’s not too demanding
Suitable for newcomers to hone their skills
The salary isn’t high. There are annual raises, but don’t expect much of an increase.
They don’t value technical skills; as long as the code runs, that’s good enough. Many of the old-timers’ skill levels are laughable.
They care about appearances. You don’t need to perform too well—your manager doesn’t know what you’re doing anyway. Just be a good, obedient employee, stare at the screen blankly until late every day, and your manager will think you’re amazingly hardworking and help you rise to the top.
