Pros

I worked in Huayi's IT department; the following is limited to experience in the IT department.

1. Some relatively uncommon technologies are used.

2. Overtime is uncommon.

3. Some senior colleagues are highly capable. If you are proactive enough, you can learn quite a lot from them.

4. If work progress is not ideal, management is generally very accommodating.

Cons

1. Workloads are distributed unevenly, and this is a long-term, ongoing situation. Basically, it is a case of the more capable doing more. Although the workload for strong employees is not so heavy as to be unacceptable, the workload for weaker employees can be astonishingly light.

2. For newcomers, the overall training is extremely poor. Without sufficient ability to learn independently, it is basically very difficult to grow.

During my employment, I never saw regular code reviews, or code reviews for employees whose work performance was unsatisfactory. As a result, those with poor work capabilities were never able to take on a more normal workload.

3. There are many web-based systems. From my perspective as a web engineer, the company's IT department is decent on the backend, but the standard of web frontend work is really not very good. Although there are indeed some experts there, there are also weaker employees. The reasons for the low overall standard are complicated, so I will not elaborate; I am providing this only as a reference for engineers who want to focus on web frontend skills.

4. Salary is heavily influenced by the starting salary negotiated at the beginning, and annual raises are quite ordinary. At this company, your salary will not be increased just because you do more work or are highly capable.

5. The year-end bonus is very average, and its amount is unrelated to ability or KPIs. As long as you obediently follow your supervisor's instructions and do not express too many opinions, it will not be particularly low, but it will not be particularly high either.

6. Overtime is flexible; there is no overtime pay and no compensatory leave, so I recommend not working overtime voluntarily.

For reference, points less related to IT work:

1. Personally, I felt that coordination among departments was poor, and I had quite a few questions during my time there.

2. The points described by other people are all quite accurate.

Finally, the company's IT work is recommended for people in the following situations:

1. People whose abilities are not particularly strong, who do not have high expectations for their future or salary, and simply want to earn a living.

2. People with adequate abilities who negotiated a decent starting salary and can accept not learning much.

3. People of a certain age who simply want a low-stress job until retirement.
