Traditional companies have no standards for selecting candidates and make decisions based on the owner’s personal preferences (the owner thinks they know a lot about marketing and has a strong old-school streetwise demeanor). They ask applicants to write proposals, but after the proposals are sent to the supervisor, there is absolutely no response—not even an expression of thanks.
