The things that make me happy have nothing to do with work.
During the interview, they don’t proactively explain the salary structure. You only find out when you receive your pay slip that the perfect-attendance bonus will be deducted (being one minute late means losing the entire NT$1,000 attendance bonus). When signing the employment contract, pay attention to the fact that their working hours are nine hours (even longer for management-level positions). The owner’s wife says that overtime pay is already included in the salary. When you do the math, the pay is lower than that of other jobs of the same type, yet they still dare to advertise a high base salary on job websites. It’s a company with no proper systems. The performance bonus is just written to look good, and the bonus system is problematic too. Even when you actually meet the target, the bonus still has to be divided with the bakery and internal administration. There are no holiday gift bonuses at all. Even the bakery chef is more generous than the owners. The owner’s wife is a real oddball and often says strange things. She only blames others and never reflects on how stingy she is herself (she says things like there are too few people in the workforce nowadays, which is why she can’t recruit anyone).
