I interviewed at the Taichung headquarters last year. The experience was extremely unprofessional and very uncomfortable!!

The office is hidden inside a luxury residential building near the Taichung National Theater.

The weather that day was unusually hot and muggy, with the indoor temperature reaching 28–30°C, yet the office did not turn on any air conditioning or climate control.

Employees could only use electric fans.

The most important point is that the waiting area I was assigned to did not have even a single electric fan. On top of that, the drinking water the receptionist gave me was hot water.

I don't know what I did to offend them?

---------------------------------------------

The interview process was quite bizarre. I was not invited into the general manager's office until 15 minutes after the scheduled interview time had already passed.

Why did it take so long? Because the general manager was smoking a cigar inside, and the smell was so strong that they had to open the windows and use an electric fan to ventilate the room and remove the odor.

Then there was the interview itself.

They kept emphasizing that they were positioned as a “luxury brand” and targeted “wealthy people, tycoons, and affluent ladies,” repeatedly stressing how high-end they were. I found it very uncomfortable. When my language ability was discussed, the interviewer actually showed me a LINE conversation and asked me to briefly translate it into Japanese. Afterwards, he used LINE's translation to check whether my translation was correct. He did the same with English. It was extremely bizarre!

At the end of the interview, this gentleman actually asked me to add him on LINE, saying that he would send me the presentation materials I needed to prepare for the second interview via LINE. For the second interview, I was asked to recreate a presentation they had already prepared in my own way, then give the presentation in a meeting room at the Kaohsiung branch. What was strange was that my résumé clearly included my email and other contact information, yet sending the second-interview materials to a job applicant this way was somewhat disrespectful of the applicant's privacy and also highly unprofessional.

In the end, despite having 3–4 years of work experience, I was told that I had never worked after entering the workforce, so the salary would be 25K.
