Colleagues get along well, and the office atmosphere is fairly harmonious. Personal time is not overly restricted, and you can find good deals at special sales or sample sales.
Everyone is forced to perform at the year-end party (singing, dancing, etc.), and you have to practice after work. Each year, departments take turns planning the year-end party, except for the Sales Department.
The administrative department has a lot of power, so don't offend them. They are very good at pushing tasks onto newcomers. Meetings with upper management have no focus. The boss makes very sarcastic remarks, publicly harshly criticizes supervisors in front of junior employees, and even secretly eats snacks from employees' desks.
Occasionally, you may be forced to post flattering comments on the company's Facebook page and official website.
There is no so-called gift money for the three major festivals. Instead, everyone receives NT$1,000 in employee purchase credit; new employees receive NT$600 for their first three months, and it cannot be converted to cash. The company is essentially enriching itself.
The noise during lunch breaks is very loud, making it difficult to fall asleep.
