The interview was for an R&D position.
Before the interview, I had to take a test covering a bunch of topics. The interviewer only gave a brief explanation. The test was 90 minutes, and then that was it. They never clearly explained what would be tested or how the test would be conducted.
During the interview, I introduced a project I had worked on, mainly explaining my ideas and the reasoning behind them. The interviewer impatiently said that these things had nothing to do with our product. I would like to ask the interviewer: Aren’t you supposed to gain an in-depth understanding of a candidate’s ideas and thought process? Moreover, the interviewer seemed unable to understand much of what I was explaining, which made me feel that the interviewer’s own abilities were not particularly strong either.
The interview process was humiliating and made me feel like flipping the table and walking out on the spot. I don’t know whether the company is good or not; I can only say that the interviewer I encountered was extremely poor. A company like this clearly does not have adequate standards for its interviewers. I imagine other aspects of the company are probably the same. Joining it would only be a waste of life.
