Coworkers are easy to get along with (the boss is very exploitative, so we can only stick together).

1. The boss has bipolar disorder, is stubborn, and nags constantly (with foul language); one salesperson was once berated for half an hour, with lots of profanity mixed in.

2. The manager is the boss’s romantic partner and cannot do anything; they only make small talk and fake smiles.

3. One senior employee refuses to keep up with the times (and does not accept new things).

4. There are no performance bonuses and no year-end banquet (although both were promised during the interview). There is only birthday money, and after the Lunar New Year the boss even starts work early to save on red-envelope payments.

5. We are frequently asked to help with miscellaneous tasks for the association, all of which are urgent.

6. Whatever the boss wants must be provided (usually at very short notice). Regardless of the position, everyone has to listen to the boss.

7. The boss said they wanted to hire a manager who could “really manage things,” and claimed they had been unable to find anyone for six months.

8. Employees are dismissed; I have seen one administrative employee and one salesperson let go.

9. Turnover is extremely high, and the company is seriously understaffed.

10. The software and hardware are extremely poor.

11. Salaries are extremely low; negotiating a raise basically gets you blacklisted.

14. The company has no planning or SOPs; the boss only knows how to criticize, not how to do things.

15. There is no year-end bonus, only a red envelope before the Lunar New Year, and it is extremely unstable (basically, employees with less than one year of service get no more than 10,000).

16. The boss keeps creating the illusion that the company is losing money, simply to avoid giving out larger red envelopes before the Lunar New Year.

17. There is no overtime pay, and salespeople who travel for work on holidays receive no compensatory leave.

18. The accountant’s personality is very strange and selfish.

19. When the boss’s romantic partner is in a bad mood, they refuse to turn on the air conditioning, making the office very stuffy.

20. New employees have to provide support in multiple areas (the IT administrator has to support administration, sales assistants, and accounting; the graphic designer has to support sales assistants, accounting, and so on).

21. Computers are restarted after working hours so that people can secretly look through them.

22. Information is incomplete, and the manager knows nothing whenever asked a question, so you can only figure things out yourself.
