This company is looking for obedient servants, not talented professionals.
They expect someone to design the architecture, improve the development process, and introduce testing methods, while requiring more than two hours of overtime every day.
Yet they offer a monthly salary of 36K, which is frankly an insult to professional expertise.
The interviewer seemed to know a lot about software engineering, but the actual development process was a complete mess. It was also very clear that they were not very familiar with DevOps or testing methodologies.
At first, I thought your EJB system was implemented in-house, but it turned out you were using an off-the-shelf J2EE server after all. That alone showed that you were evaluating other people's technology without really understanding it.
And for an experienced engineer, how long would it take to learn everything from scratch and become proficient?
The fact that you can offer this salary is simply outrageous.
