1. Responsibility-based pay. Although this system may have been used in the early days of the design industry, most design companies now pay overtime as talent has been lost. It feels like this company is still stuck in the feudal era.
2. Offering a senior applicant a salary of 26K as if they were a new graduate, on the grounds that they would have to learn new things and start over at a new company, so they cannot be offered too much.
3. Employees have to arrange their own lunch. (The workplace is near an industrial area—where are you supposed to find something to eat? Is it really that difficult to order boxed lunches for employees collectively?)
4. Complaining about rising costs and salaries, saying the company cannot afford it, and asking employees to retreat along with the company. If the company is declining, it should find ways to transform instead of blaming the government for raising wages.
In short, this is just a stingy, exploitative boss. Think carefully before going to an interview.
