The manager at this company fires employees after the current project ends if they are unable to secure a subsequent project.
If you need to apply for an involuntary separation certificate, the matter must be reported to the labor bureau. Although the stated reason for the layoff is clearly the inability to secure a subsequent project, the company will still attempt to use the disparaging claim that “the employee is incompetent for the work they were hired to perform” in its application to evade paying severance. From beginning to end, management only explains that it is an upright, flawless company that has done nothing wrong.
In the end, I could only give up applying for an involuntary separation certificate. Compared with having to carry this kind of record, I believe giving up unemployment benefits and severance pay is the best course of action for departing employees.
If pursuing unemployment benefits and severance pay affects your next job, it would be a serious loss—an enormous one—that could affect you for the rest of your life.
