The colleagues are nice. That's it.
Working hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (That's what they say! But in reality, we'll clap and cheer if we can get off work at midnight.)
Oh, right! They only count 20 hours of overtime per month for overtime pay, and give you compensatory leave for the other 20 hours (but you won't get a chance to take it anyway, because your boss is constantly pushing you to finish the projects on your hands). Basically, you'll definitely work 100 hours of overtime a month (don't think I'm kidding). Why do you have to keep working overtime? Because during the day, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., you have to deal with a bunch of miscellaneous or pointless tasks. Only at night do you finally have time to work on your own projects. Sometimes, your boss will suddenly ask you to drive down to Chiayi to provide support (it really is sudden—they'll call you half an hour beforehand and tell you to leave immediately).
The salary is completely disproportionate to the work. You might think you're a young, fresh worker there to learn new things, but once you've worked for three months and quit, you may need two months to recover physically. I'm not exaggerating.
