Make sure that labor and health insurance is provided, and that the employer’s share must not be deducted from the employee’s wages.
When negotiating your salary with the boss, make sure to establish a written contract in black and white, so that the salary you receive does not differ from what you remember agreeing to.
Benefits, profit-sharing, and bonuses that are not established in a written contract are not guaranteed. Even if there is a verbal promise, there is nothing you can do if they refuse to pay and claim that it never happened.
Always record your conversations with the boss. If you are insulted, threatened, or intimidated, recordings can serve as evidence in a lawsuit.
Before starting work, read the Labor Standards Act carefully, especially Article 14.
Never follow the boss’s orders to do anything illegal, including using pirated software.
A company that even uses pirated Office software has no future.
While employed, it is best to keep your résumé active on job-search websites. Take leave to attend interviews whenever you get the chance, and switch jobs directly if you find a higher-paying position.
