Pros

There is air conditioning, but it is not cool enough in summer and too cold in winter.

Accommodation is provided.

The factory area is very small, so you quickly become familiar with it.

Not long after joining, you can learn the skills needed to survive in society and greatly improve your ability to deal with office politics—it is like entering a hyperbolic time chamber.

Cons

I recommend that fresh graduates who have just entered the workforce not join unless their office-politics skill points are fully maxed out.

Here is a quick guide to each department:

Fangyuan Plant—front-office system—

Business in the X division: The manager is refined and courteous, and is very good.

Production X: The manager is a good person. There are no promotion opportunities, but the work is easy.

Warehouse X: No promotion opportunities.

Other positions have fixed openings, so there should be no opportunity to enter, but the front-office vacancies are all fairly good, and the people are easy to get along with.

Fangyuan Plant—on-site system—

On-site operators: The older woman on site is very fierce, and the managers at Product X also frequently cause trouble.

On-site technicians: Your office-politics skills must be fully maxed out, or your intelligence must be reduced to zero; otherwise, you will be toyed with until you break. There is someone with a very large gap between her front teeth who is extremely calculating and gets along very well with the senior manager of Product X.

Research X: The head of Research X is an elderly gentleman who talks a lot and is a good person, but he is about to retire. The person replacing him got in through her husband’s connections. She acts as if she is above everyone else, believes she is always right and you are always wrong, and is intensely disliked by both the front office and on-site personnel. Applicants with high educational qualifications do not need to apply, because they will be treated as a mere obstacle and will not be hired.

Product X: Both the senior and junior managers of Product X are deep-minded. The senior manager undermines the junior manager behind his back, while the junior manager bad-mouths the senior manager privately. They are outwardly cordial but inwardly at odds, although they cooperate quite well when dealing with frontline employees from other departments. If you are considering joining Product X, think very carefully. Xiaomei is the worst position; she will recruit fresh graduates with good academic backgrounds, then, because both managers went to terrible schools and are driven by an inferiority complex, constantly disparage your school. Since she cannot produce good reports because of her poor academic background, she forces you to write them, then changes the name to her own and takes credit with upper management. If your school is not prestigious, you are finished. One person has already developed depression. There are good people there too, but most of them have left.

Engineering X: There are both useless people and capable people, but after joining, you may be driven away by the useless people or the Product X department.

Manufacturing X: The manager is a good person, but he is about to retire. You will often need to communicate with the Research X business team, so take care.

Cooking X: The manager is completely controlled by the senior manager of Product X, but is a good person.

The training system is very poor. External training requires signing a three-year indenture; resigning during the contract period requires compensation.

The cost of lunch is included in the salary, and the meal break is very rushed.

Internal employee training is not valued. The moon is brighter abroad; anything said by people who jumped over from other companies is treated as an imperial edict.

There is no lunch break, which is very exhausting.

Excessive overtime.
