They were the ones who asked me to come, yet they acted as though I had gone to the wrong place...

This shows that the supervisor is a very difficult person. The internal environment is tense and serious, rather than harmonious. Everyone looked exhausted, and they were unwilling to disclose any information about the benefits, saying that I could ask about them only at the next stage.
