A very bad experience applying and interviewing for a part-time job

Position: Section Manager at RT-Mart Hsinchu Zhongxiao Store

1. First, I went to the company myself to fill out my personal information. About three weeks later, HR called on a weekend and asked me to interview the next day, arranging a time.

(This was completely inconsistent with the 3–5 day recruitment process stated on the posted advertisement, if an interview was required.)

2. I arrived on time the next day. The HR part was okay, but the section manager made me wait half an hour (which felt very arrogant).

3. After waiting half an hour, the section manager asked me to introduce myself and what my strengths were—very frustrating and impractical questions. I was applying for a part-time position, not a full-time one. I am a working adult with previous employment experience, not a student or a work-study applicant! The focus should have been on scheduling availability and attentiveness at work, especially since cashiering itself is not difficult.

4. A very poor part-time interview experience. Other well-known companies are not this arrogant and self-important either.
