花旗(台灣) 商業銀行股份有限公司
Pros

Interviewed for a customer service position. There was an English test, and the questions were fairly simple. The company’s policies and benefits are better than those required by the Labor Standards Act.

Cons

The base salary is low (29,500), with additional performance bonuses (this is not necessarily a drawback—some people may consider it an advantage, but I’m not good at sales).

During the interview, they showed several videos, similar to the kind of videos used by multi-level marketing companies to praise how great the company is (perhaps this is a way for large corporations to boost morale? I thought big companies wouldn’t need to introduce themselves).

Next, they described how employees at the company should have a spirit of total dedication, preferably sacrificing their personal lives for work:

The first segment was about a woman who was originally going to celebrate her anniversary with her boyfriend, but received a call to work two hours of overtime before the end of her shift and arrived very late. In a normal situation, they would probably have an argument...

The second segment was about a daughter asking her mother whether she could attend her recital the next day. The mother couldn’t because she had to work, and in the end, the mother tearfully watched the recital during her break via a live broadcast from the daughter’s teacher on her phone.

Is it really a good idea to show these segments? After watching them, would anyone still want to work there??

Some people may accept the conditions offered, but I can’t, so I gave it a middle rating: average.
