A few years ago, I was invited to interview for a managerial position.

When it was time for the interview, HR went to ask the manager responsible for conducting it to come over.

The responsible manager did not show up for a long time.

HR said that the manager responsible for the interview was in a meeting.

I asked HR how much longer the meeting would last and whether it had already been scheduled in advance.

HR replied that they did not know, then repeatedly went to ask the manager responsible for the interview to attend.

I may have waited for nearly an hour before the responsible manager finally appeared.

They spoke with me for about two minutes. Before discussing anything substantive, they neither said the interview was over nor explained anything; they answered a phone call and went back to the meeting.

I continued waiting for another half an hour. Then I asked HR what was going on.

HR went to the meeting room again to ask the manager responsible for the interview.

When HR returned, they said that today's interview ended there.

I asked whether we needed to schedule another time to talk. HR replied that they did not know.

I was already extremely displeased. A few days later, I received a canned thank-you email from the company.

Impression: An extremely disrespectful company. In more than ten years, I may have interviewed with nearly a hundred companies, and none was worse than this one.
