The department manager was friendly during the interview.
After the interview with the department manager, I felt that I should have been hired. Later, someone from HR came in and explained some of the company policies, and only at the very end did they discuss the salary. Although I had no relevant experience for the position I applied for, I am still a graduate of one of the Big Four universities with more than ten years of work experience. I had thought that, since I lacked relevant experience for the position, I would accept a lower salary as long as it started with 30,000. In the end, they actually said, “Considering your educational background and work experience, our starting salary is 28,000...” I felt humiliated at that moment, and I was extremely angry all the way home on my motorcycle.
