Pros

- Colleagues and supervisors are easy to get along with and communicate with.

- The seating is open-plan without partitions, so it feels very spacious. However, everyone has different preferences, so this could be either a pro or a con.

- A weekly badminton session is held at Chao Ma Sports Center. The company pays for a long-term rental, and employees can participate freely.

- Afternoon snacks are provided once a week, usually on the same day as the sports session, since people generally go directly to the court to play after work. This keeps everyone from playing on an empty stomach.

- An English class is held once a week.

- Most clients are overseas—in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Thailand, France, and elsewhere—so employees with good language skills may have opportunities to travel for work.

- A birthday celebration is held every three months. For example, birthdays for employees born in January, February, and March are celebrated in March; those born in April, May, and June are celebrated in June, and so on.

- An MVP is selected each month by company-wide vote. The employee with the most votes wins that month’s MVP award and can receive rewards such as a month of free breakfasts or movie-and-meal vouchers.

- Performance reviews are conducted once every quarter. The CTO spends nearly half a month speaking individually with each employee to discuss their work during the quarter and goals for the next quarter. The atmosphere is not tense, and the CTO listens patiently to every employee’s thoughts and explores them further, which is actually quite rare in the industry.

- A bonus is paid after each quarterly review, generally equivalent to one month’s salary.

Cons

- Because the English class is conducted with multiple students together, everyone has different proficiency levels and learning priorities, so the teaching approach cannot meet everyone’s expectations. For some people, the English class is quite boring.

- There was a period when bonuses were significantly delayed. I raised the impact of the delay on employees with the CTO during a performance review, and the CTO said the company would improve and try not to affect employees. This quarter’s bonus was paid on schedule, so let’s continue to see how things go!
