1. There’s not much more to say about the boss; many people have already described things very accurately. As for the supervisors under the boss, they basically just do what the boss says. In practice, they have little professional competence and are not good at leading or training people. At the company, employees have to learn to judge and handle many matters on their own. Supervisors may even teach them the wrong things, while employees are generally responsible for compensating customers or apologizing. Business staff can only feel their way through by learning from their mistakes.

2. There is a large and complicated workload. In addition to responding courteously to their own customers, business staff must personally reply to inquiries from customers on Facebook and LINE. Maintaining website information, adding photos, and so on are also handled by business staff. The workload is completely disproportionate to the salary.

3. The company is constantly hiring because the turnover rate is very high. Whenever there is a customer complaint, business staff are responsible for paying compensation (sometimes even more than a month’s salary). Employee training is poor, and the company also keeps forcing employees they dislike to leave. Most importantly, they insist that employees resign voluntarily and are completely unwilling to pay severance.

If you’re smart enough, have strong business skills, are familiar with how the travel industry operates, don’t need to rely on supervisors or anyone else, work efficiently, speak multiple languages, and are very good at pleasing supervisors and the boss, then you’re well suited to this job. (But I believe you’ll have better options.)

If you’ve just entered the workforce and are passionate about the travel industry, do not apply here under any circumstances. This company has quite a few dark sides. You won’t just be undermined by supervisors—the senior employees are also experts at scheming against others, which is how they survive at this company.
