The HR representative was quite nice.
I interviewed for the position of Sales Specialist. Before the interview, in addition to the basic information, I was asked to answer many questions, such as what I found most rewarding, my views on management styles, and which part of a company's policies I cared about most. There were about 10 questions.
Next, after the initial interview with HR, I was asked to speak with the department manager. This so-called department manager came in with an expression that seemed to say, "Why would HR bring this person in?" Then, looking displeased and puzzled, they repeatedly flipped through the basic information I had filled out. They lowered their head and said, "Please briefly introduce yourself first," making it obvious that they had not looked at my information beforehand. After I finished introducing myself, they again lowered their head and said, "Do you have any other questions?" while continuing to flip through the documents with a sour expression, as if they did not want to talk to me. I did not really feel like asking anything either, so that was it.
I think that perhaps this so-called "sales manager" is very capable at their job, but toward job applicants who have no connection to their interests, they do not even have the basic courtesy to put on an act. Fortunately, I was later notified that I had not been selected; otherwise, I really would not have wanted to encounter a manager like that.
