Everything that should be provided is provided.

1. Three seasonal bonuses, birthday bonus, marriage leave, maternity leave, and childcare leave.

2. You can also win cash at the year-end party (the smallest prize is at least NT$3,000), and red envelopes are handed out when work resumes after the New Year.

3. At Christmas, it depends on whether each branch holds an employee gift exchange.

4. There is one employee trip every year (as for the branches; I heard the head office has more), with employees going in batches.

5. Sometimes the company has too many products and gives them to employees; there are employee prices for both products and treatments.

6. I think there is a health checkup once a year? You have to remind the head office to pay attention to it.

7. The boss has been expanding into mainland China, where two locations have already opened (both in Shanghai).

With so many benefits listed above, it sounds very appealing, but where there are advantages, there are disadvantages:

1. Most of the branch employees are women, and they engage in intrigue and compete for customers and sales, sometimes ganging up to bully people (you have to see whether you have what it takes to hold out). Also, I heard from people still working at the company that business is not good now.

2. At the station-front branch, there is a man who takes advantage of women and looks down on people. If a newly hired woman is attractive, he keeps looking for opportunities to chat with her, making awkward small talk and acting cute, or deliberately taking something so he can touch her. Once, a female college student who was interning was leaving work with us. That man came out of the storeroom and immediately put his hand on the woman’s shoulder (the two were complete strangers), saying some irrelevant things. He did not let go until the elevator arrived (extremely disgusting!!). He is unattractive and has body odor, yet he still gets to use the company’s benefits for factory maintenance!! (Yes! Point 2 is entirely me ranting about him.)

3. EVERYONE! IS! THIN! Everyone there has had something done (major surgery or minimally invasive cosmetic procedures). The only people who have not are minors (under 20), or those who have just joined recently. It is a very frightening environment; over time, it can make your thinking unhealthy, making you wonder whether you should also get double-eyelid surgery, have liposuction or a fat-dissolving injection because you are too fat, or make your nose a little more prominent... and so on. Of course, it is fine for people who are interested in these things, but some people (for example, plus-size “Marshmallow” girls) become withdrawn because of the influence of this environment.
