Foreign workers are very friendly
The newly established plant is located in Dapumei, Chiayi.
Although work starts at 8:00, supervisors require everyone to line up inside the plant and be checked in at 7:50. If you do not want to be late, you have to arrive at the company at around 7:30.
Every day, you will be asked whether you want to work overtime, but in reality, you have no choice. You have to work overtime at least three days a week, and you also have to work every Saturday the following week.
The company gives you a thick stack of materials to memorize after work and during holidays. New employees have to memorize the names of all their supervisors, and there will be tests. Basically, holidays are spent memorizing the materials.
Most of the supervisors are nice, but a few section managers basically criticize people rather than addressing the issue.
