I also worked there for three years, so I was an early employee. I know two of the people who left the genuine comments above. Everything they said, whether positive or negative, is accurate—no one made anything up. For a small company to implement so many management practices is quite impressive. If you join, you really can learn a lot, though it may not necessarily be the right way to do things. It’s still best to learn on your own. The code written by previous employees is often messy, which is why people frequently need to work overtime, right?
Overtime is not a good workplace culture, especially when they proudly rank people by their overtime hours at the annual meeting. That really isn’t a good look. Work efficiently and finish today’s tasks today; overtime shouldn’t be necessary. If you don’t work overtime, they won’t pay much attention to you anyway—doing your work well is more important.
The poor reviews are still mainly because of the managers. If you’re considering joining, assess for yourself whether you can handle the pressure.
