The boss is very emotional and full of himself. He often makes everything sound too simple. Talking is easy; he calls himself a genius in mechanical design.

Because business has been poor and the company has not made money this year, he has become anxious. The sales team keeps accepting orders and sending them to suppliers for quotations, requiring them by the next day. Normally, two days would be standard. They often do not even award the work to the supplier after receiving the quotation, which frustrates suppliers and frequently damages relationships with them.

Because everyone is constantly working on quotations, the mechanical design team cannot get its own work done. The PM chases you, the factory chases you because it has no PE, and sales chases you. Everyone just talks and does nothing—so much fun. As a result, the boss thinks things are moving too slowly and says things like, “Shouldn't it be done in one or two days?” The examples are endless. He has absolutely no respect for professional expertise. If you insist on explaining things to him, he gets angry very easily. He speaks hurriedly and constantly interrupts others—extremely rude. You do what he says, and if it turns out to be wrong, he blames you. The boss keeps assigning work, but tells outsiders that we are very idle. The designer is pitiful because there is only one person, who has to handle exhibition posters and so on for the Zhudong Laser Business Group. These tasks are not even part of their job, yet they are often treated as if they were expected.

The turnover rate at the Zhudong plant is very high. There is genuinely a lot to do, including many inefficient tasks. The products are not difficult, but management makes everything unnecessarily complicated, and we are often repeating the same work and wasting time. Even when issues are raised, it is difficult to make changes. Otherwise, they say that all the old materials must be revised as well, which would be a huge undertaking, so everything is just left as it is. In any case, everyone is waiting for an opportunity to resign.
