1. If you have enough courage, you can leave work on time.
2. Salaries are paid relatively on time.
3. They are willing to give young, attractive recent graduates opportunities, such as attending overseas trade shows and entertaining foreign guests.
1. They claim to comply with the Labor Standards Act, but in reality they underreport salaries, force or prohibit employees from taking leave, and do not pay overtime. Even former employees who applied for a labor inspection found it useless.
2. You have to endure the boss’s secondhand smoke.
3. Employee benefits are poor (vastly different from what was said during the interview): no bonuses for the three major holidays, no employee trips, a pitifully small year-end bonus, often no water to drink, no air conditioning, and being given dirty looks for discussing personal matters during work hours.
4. There is gender discrimination. Men are expected to handle all labor-related tasks, even when those tasks are outside their job responsibilities. Women face appearance-based discrimination: if you are considered below average in appearance or slightly overweight, the boss will constantly criticize you, and you will absolutely have no opportunity to attend overseas trade shows.
5. Because it is a family-run business, there are no promotion opportunities, and chances of receiving a raise are also extremely slim.
6. Regardless of your position (e.g., accounting, design, sales, etc.), you will be asked to go downstairs to the factory to help with packaging, moving, and assembly.
7. Most people do not have their own internet access and cannot browse the internet independently.
