Pros

The person who interviewed me was fairly well-groomed.

Cons

1. He didn’t introduce himself, but he didn’t seem to be from HR; he seemed more like the boss. He shouldn’t be conducting interviews, and his attitude was very arrogant.

2. The company environment is not great. It is essentially a storefront with calligraphy brushes and art supplies for sale in the front, and an office in the back. It is somewhat cramped, and the lighting is dim. If you’re looking forward to a beautiful office or a sizable company, you can skip this one.

3. He asked why I had left my previous job. I said that the boss at my former company frequently changed decisions on a whim. He asked me in return, “Isn’t it bad to frequently change decisions?” It’s clear from this that he himself is that kind of person.

4. The reason I say he was arrogant during the interview is that he asked me about the job responsibilities, and I answered based on my understanding of them. However, he gave an unserious laugh, clearly dissatisfied, and even mocked me by asking whether I hadn’t read the job posting. I had read it; it was just that, for some reason, it was later taken down and I could no longer view it. Normally, HR would clarify the job responsibilities by adding information, rather than using a sarcastic tone like he did.

In the end, I politely told him that I wasn’t suitable for the position and thanked him. But deep down, I was extremely frustrated—it was such a waste of my time. For a company with such a ridiculous setup and scale to conduct interviews with such an arrogant attitude, anyone who joins will probably have a very strong submissive streak.
