- The company is located in a new building, and the hardware and facilities are good.
- The company appears to have been quite profitable in recent years, as seen from its financial reports and stock price. The benefits and year-end bonuses also seem to be good (but the salary is uncertain).
- I did not apply to this company; they contacted me for an interview. However, during the interview, HR questioned matters that were already clearly stated on my résumé, questioned the applicant’s lack of stability, and so on. They also emphasized, “If you haven’t thought it through, we really don’t recommend that you join our company.”
- The interview was conducted by HR and the department manager together, but HR took the lead. Objectively speaking, HR’s attitude was not bad, but they lacked sufficient expertise regarding the specific position and the technology industry. As a result, their questions were often overly vague and unfocused, while the department manager sitting nearby was not very proactive in asking questions or providing further explanations.
- Compared with professional ability, they seemed more inclined to look for employees who would stay for a long time and be obedient. During the conversation, they repeatedly emphasized that their company was growing and highly profitable, and even asked whether the applicant had looked at their financial reports. They later added that because their products are complex and difficult to learn, they cannot be mastered in a short period of time; therefore, even employees who stay for a long time still need to keep learning. The sense of superiority in their remarks was rather uncomfortable.
Conclusion: Overall, the benefits seem good, and the company does appear to have potential. However, it seems more inclined to hire stable and obedient employees, with ability possibly being secondary. After the interview, it was fairly easy to understand why the company has good prospects and benefits, but also why employee reviews of iThome are generally not very positive.
