When nothing is happening, everyone pushes the work onto someone else. When something does happen and the CEO asks about it, a bunch of inexplicable people start going around in circles asking the same questions. Truly a strange spectacle. Cross-departmental communication is seriously problematic; something can be dragged out for ages without being dealt with, and nothing happens.... In all my years of experience in the industry, this is the first company I’ve seen with an ecosystem like this. It’s really quite entertaining.
There’s also a vice president who often boasts, “I knew about this six or seven years ago.” Sigh~~~ Knowing about it clearly hasn’t led you to do anything, which is rather a shame.
