The starting salary is only 26–28k. Even those who have been here for 10 years only get 3k more. The promotion allowance is 500, and the transportation subsidy is also an illusion. Then they fool everyone into thinking the compensation is over 4k, as if it would be something to brag about. So great~!
For the year-end banquet, they just sneak off to Noble Family and laugh, and then the boss cannot even say a word of thanks to the employees (no words of gratitude toward employees)—zero interaction.
Although it is one of the world’s top few hundred multinational companies, the boss is white-skinned. It looks like a foreign company, but actually is not. The boss does not respect Taiwanese employees, which can be clearly felt from his usual treatment of people and way of handling matters. The system he has created is extremely inefficient, with many meaningless meetings, reports, and lectures. Meetings can easily last more than eight hours. Whenever employees raise an issue with him, he makes it clear that he only wants to hear pleasant things; he does not want to hear anything unpleasant or problematic. Even when employees want support from the company, it cannot provide it. Meaningless and inefficient things keep happening. Clearly, time could be saved by avoiding things that cannot be achieved in the first place, but conflicts with employees are severe because he often acts for his own benefit—a vicious cycle!
*Employees are required to use their own salary to purchase high-limit passenger insurance in order to receive the car allowance, because the boss rides in employees’ cars to visit clients.
*He likes to make unrealistic demands and is unwilling to make practical improvements.
*The company always takes the attitude that its products have no problems externally. Once something goes wrong, employees have to go out and apologize themselves, and may even have to pay out of their own pockets to compensate the client.
*With more than a hundred employees, there is not even a welfare committee.
*The boss prohibits employees from becoming too close to one another, even from holding private gatherings or meals together.
*The Labor Standards Act stipulates a meal subsidy of 1,800. After raising this issue to management many times and pointing out that the amount was insufficient, the response was: “We have already made up for it elsewhere.” In reality, the salary was not adjusted at all; it was merely brushed over.
*Employees are prohibited from driving high-end car models. Here, seeing a Volkswagen is already considered the best. What kind of car an employee drives does not affect their work, does it?
*“The old employees don’t complain, so what gives you new hires the right to raise questions?” A vicious cycle.
