1. A few more days off during the year than at most companies, such as December 25 or the company anniversary.
2. An annual health checkup (although it will very likely be changed to once every two years later).
3. Good working environment (at Far Eastern Century Plaza).
4. Although the company has more than 50 employees, you can still find quite a few colleagues of good character, so you will not become too disappointed in human nature.
1. The company's benefits have gradually worsened over the past two years, such as the cancellation of year-end bonuses, suspension of salary increases, reduced performance bonuses, and ongoing disputes. Benefits are expected to deteriorate further in the future. The senior executive who directs the company's benefits and overall direction is Korean and is replaced every few years. The current one in recent years has also contributed to the decline in the company's benefits. Recently, the company has been aggressively suppressing salaries when recruiting employees (have you noticed that "specialist" has become "assistant"? The job duties are exactly the same—you are asked to do the same work for less money).
2. The HR staff member is not a regular employee, and all administrative affairs and authority are concentrated in one person's hands. If you apply for a position in the administrative department, be careful: behind their smiles and expressions of concern are information-gathering and concealed knives. The best strategy is apparently to curry favor; flattery determines your fate.
3. For PM personnel, if you are exceptionally talented, you will have little room to make use of your abilities. Everything is controlled by the Korean headquarters. If the execution goes well, it is because the Koreans are smart; if it goes poorly, it is because you performed badly. Here, junior employees can learn the process of writing proposals for submission, having them reviewed in meetings, and waiting for their proposals to be raised for discussion by headquarters.
4. For other "-specialist" positions, there are experienced veterans above you in every role. It is a good place for newcomers who want to learn new things; after all, without experience, they can accept lower pay. Those with experience are not advised to join. After you voluntarily take a pay cut to enter, it may take a long time to discover that a senior employee with the same experience, abilities, and position earns three times your salary (you may also never find out—that is what the confidentiality policy is for).
As is customary in the workplace, most good openings go to people known through employee referrals. If you were introduced by someone you know, then do not use the above text as a reference. If you are applying through an online job platform, it is advisable to wait a few years and observe the company's development.
