Company in Taichung; the colleagues are all very straightforward and easy to get along with. A small number of people like to abuse their power.
The company says it follows the Labor Standards Act: typhoon days off are unpaid, half a day's pay is deducted for menstrual leave, employees are forced to use up their annual leave instead of saving it until the end of the year to exchange it for money, and employees who do not go on the company trip have to report to work... All of this is supposedly in accordance with the Labor Standards Act. The labor and health insurance coverage is not based on employees' salaries and is split up in a complete mess; the money is even transferred in two separate payments, apparently to evade the labor insurance premiums.
It's just a company that will neither improve nor go under, I guess... Also, the boss's wife is the one who actually makes the decisions; you can just take what the boss says with a grain of salt.
