Pros

The position I was initially hired for was a marketing planner in Tainan, but the boss wanted me to work in sales to gain experience.

I was okay with that—after all, as a newcomer, I didn’t have much room to be picky.

I’m relatively objective.

My impressions of working here are:

Taking leave is genuinely convenient. Female employees also get menstrual leave every month.

After one year, you get annual leave plus birthday leave.

I don’t know about other departments.

In our department, bonuses are transparent.

Cons

The sales training provided absolutely no training in sales talk.

Newcomers were simply expected to make appointments.

At the time, there was only one senior colleague from the beverage division who helped with training and checked in on us. He was indeed a good supervisor,

but he was busy and was not often at the company.

Simply put, the idea was that making an appointment and getting a sign-up meant earning money.

The attrition rate was very high.

All I can say is that the senior colleagues who stayed were either very capable or very good at flattering people.

Looking at the salaries of the company’s sales staff,

the starting salary was genuinely very low.

It really wasn’t graded according to ability or educational background; it depended on the boss’s mood.

There was no complete promotion system.

Even the highest salary was under the 100K he mentioned.

I privately asked other people about it,

and the average was only around 25K.

Compared with other companies, the year-end bonus was really very small.

The boss was very emotional.

It was true that he was used to insulting people and constantly using profanity.

He placed great importance on flattery—it was also true that being good at flattering him mattered more than ability.

The accountant was his younger sister and was just as emotional.

It seemed like whether you could get expense requests approved depended on his mood.

Simply put!! If you want to gain experience, it’s very suitable as a first job.

But if you’re looking for somewhere long-term, I’d still suggest finding another place.
