The boss is very nice, at least making an effort to show care and concern.

Sometimes, when there is no work, we can leave a few minutes early.

The master technicians and engineers are all very nice.

The boss often transfers all of his own responsibilities to the engineers.

Therefore, engineers need to be capable of handling multiple roles.

Working every other week is not counted as overtime pay; it is unclear how the Labor Standards Act’s one fixed day off and one flexible rest day per week are calculated.

Sometimes we have to work overtime until very late without overtime pay; instead, the hours are accumulated and exchanged for leaving work early.

Sometimes we have to work on consecutive national holidays, while the compensatory day off is scheduled on the following week’s regular day off.

The Saturday of the every-other-week schedule is a half day, but sometimes the assigned work is too complicated and may take the entire day.

There is no 6% labor pension contribution, so 6% is deducted from the salary.

Some jobs that might normally require five or six people are reduced to two or three. Alternatively, whenever there is work at another location, people are often sent over there, resulting in problems with the staffing allocation system.

The boss’s wife is in charge of purchasing, so sometimes there is no stock available when work needs to be done, or we are sent to work somewhere only to find that there are no materials.
